Sacramento’s first Black-owned beauty bar opens

A California business owner is blazing a trail, opening the first Black-owned beauty bar in the Sacramento area of Elk Grove.

Urban Medical Aesthetics Beauty Bar (UMABB) was highlighted during a recent segment on the Good Day morning show on CBS Sacramento.

One of the most popular services offered at Urban Medical Aesthetics is laser hair removal.

The segment showcases just how easy and fast treatments can be as a client sits in a chair and enjoys an early-morning treatment.

It isn’t solely the fact that laser hair removal services are offered. Many clients have darker skin tones and are of African-American, Filipino, and Asian descent.

The clinic has the proper lasers to treat any skin tone safely and effectively, which UMABB clients appreciate. Many have had unpleasant laser hair removal experiences at other facilities because an incorrect laser was used. That will no longer be an issue.
