Laser Hair Removal

What Is The Benefit Of Laser Hair Removal?

Unlike traditional methods (waxing, shaving, bleaching or using depilatory creams), Laser Hair Removal gets to the root of the problem, rather than offering a temporary solution. Most clients immediately notice a significant reduction in hair growth after a few sessions and over time the need to shave becomes less and less.

  • A Cost & Time Effective Option: During their lifetime an average person spends over $30,000 and 1,400 hours waxing and shaving.
  • A Real Solution, Not a Quick Fix: Once the follicle is successfully destroyed the hair doesn’t grow back, so you can experience smooth skin without razor bumps, nicks, ingrown hair or stubble.
  • Fast, Safe & Effective: Leading-edge lasers with more power and larger spot size for faster, more effective treatments.

How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

Hair has three phases of growth but is only effected by laser light when it’s in the anagen, or active growth phase. That is because hair follicles in the active growth phase have the most melanin and it’s the melanin that attracts the energy from the laser. During treatment, laser energy is directed toward the area being treated. It deeply penetrates the skin, heating the follicle to the critical temperature to destroy it and prevent further hair growth. While the follicle is impaired, the surrounding skin is unaffected.

Should I Shave?

Yes! It is absolutely fine to shave between your treatments; in fact, we will ask you to come to your appointments shaved. However, you should not pluck, wax, tweeze, bleach, or use depilatory creams between treatments because if the shaft of the hair is removed there is no conduit for the laser light to reach the follicle.

Does It Hurt?

People typically compare the feeling to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Some areas of the body can be more sensitive (underarms, bikini, or upper lip) and every client’s tolerance is different. Compared to waxing as an alternative, laser hair removal can offer less discomfort and most clients find treatment quite tolerable.

Why Do I Need Multiple Treatments To Achieve Hair Removal?

Laser Hair Removal requires a series of treatments because it is only effective on hair follicles in the active growth phase. Growth cycles for hair changes from body area to body area. Facial hair typically grows more quickly, and body hair typically has a longer growth cycle. Length between treatments can vary from 4-8 weeks. Many clients enjoy upwards of 15% hair reduction after just a single treatment, and some are 90-95% hair-free in just eight treatments.

How Many Sessions Are Required?

With each treatment, hair is reduced and for most clients’ best results are seen after eight sessions. The actual number of sessions needed will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone. If you feel additional treatments are needed, we will continue to treat the purchased area at 10% of the per treatment price, until you are satisfied with your results.

Which Areas Of The Body Can Be Treated?

Treatments are safe and effective on all areas of the body with unwanted hair and on all types of skin. The most commonly treated areas include: bikini, legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, chin and sideburns.

What Is The Lifetime Promise?

In the event that after 8 Laser Hair Removal treatments you feel additional treatments are needed (in the purchased area) you will receive 2 additional treatments free of charge. Any further treatments, may be purchased at 90% off the current per treatment price.
