What happens during a laser hair removal procedure?

Laser hair removal is a simple outpatient procedure. On the day of your treatment, a Delta Aesthetics staff member shows you to the treatment room. The staff may provide you with goggles to protect your eyes. You may need to remove some of your clothing.

Dr. Ness and his staff apply a numbing cream to your skin to make laser hair removal more comfortable. Next, Dr. Ness adjusts the laser to the correct settings and begins the procedure.

Treatment time can vary. Laser hair removal on a small area of the body may only take a few minutes, but laser hair removal on your legs or arms may take up to an hour.

What results can I expect?

Over 90% of laser hair removal patients achieve permanent hair reduction. After treatment, most patients have significantly less hair in the targeted area. Any hair that remains is usually much lighter and finer.
